Martial arts champion and actor Chuck Norris visited Revere and Thomas middle schools for a belt ceremony last week to congratulate hundreds of students who have excelled in martial arts.
The ceremony was organized by Kickstart Kids, a nonprofit that uses martial arts to build strong character and promote healthy lifestyles among youth.
The ceremony was held on Dec. 11 at Thomas and on Dec. 12 at Revere, which launched its Kickstart Kids school project at the beginning of the school year with the help of Phillips 66 as a sponsor.
