The Houston Independent School District’s Wheatley vs. Washington and Davis vs. Yates varsity football games have been rescheduled as a precautionary measure because of pending inclement weather and the related potential for dangerous road conditions.
HISD officials have been closely monitoring the weather forecast and have determined that storms and heavy rains predicted for parts of the Houston area may make for dangerous driving Saturday afternoon. As a result, the Wheatley vs. Washington football game has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at Barnett Stadium. The Davis vs. Yates game has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at Dyer Stadium.
All other HISD varsity football games originally scheduled for Saturday will be held earlier in the day. A new Saturday schedule is below.
|Milby vs. Chavez||Barnett Stadium||11 a.m.|
|Madison vs. Sharpstown||Butler Stadium||11 a.m.|
|Houston vs. Bellaire||Cowart Stadium||11 a.m.|
|Lamar vs. Westbury||Delmar Stadium||11 a.m.|
No other district events are affected at this time. Questions about campus-based events should be referred to campus administrators.
