Hobby ES, Alcott ES named ‘Culture Cultivator Campuses’ by Harris County Department of Education

The Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) has named two HISD elementary schools as 2021 Culture Cultivator Campuses.

Both Hobby and Alcott Elementary Schools were named Culture Cultivator Campuses, or schools that have gone above and beyond to implement systems and practices that best support the students, staff and community in a dynamic way – especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of the honor, HCDE is inviting Hobby and Alcott to share the work they are doing with other campuses via two opportunities:

  • Leading a breakout session at A Day of Educational Innovation with Ron Clark 2021 virtual conferenceon Saturday, April 10, and sharing what the campus team has done to build a positive culture. This professional development experience will bring educators across the country together to collaborate, network, and share best practices.
  • Sharing the campus’ leadership journey on HCDE’s podcast, The Wellness Space, which currently streams on Apple, Spotify, Google and 10 other platforms.

More information on A Day of Educational Innovation Conference with Ron Clark 2021, where both campuses will be featured, can be found online here.
