The Houston Education Support Personnel (HESP) Union is hosting a community and wellness event Saturday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Alcott Elementary School, 5859 Bellfort Ave., 77033.

The “Reading Opens the World” event is free and open to the community.

No-cost offers and services include books, school supplies, backpacks, hygiene and feminine products, wellness information, COVID-19 vaccines, and voter and citizenship information.
