Teachers pour their hearts and souls into everything they do for Houston’s children more than 170 days out of every year. Be sure to take some time during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5-9, to say thanks to a teacher who has made a difference in your life or in the lives of your children.

There are many ways students and schools can recognize teachers who make a difference. Salute teachers with a sign on classroom doors, thanking each teacher by name.
