“I can’t ever recall a time in my career when I have been more proud,” HISD Superintendent Terry Grier told principals after the Houston Schools Bond was approved by a more than 2-1 margin.

During the monthly principals’ meeting, Dr. Grier recognized the school leaders, staff, parents, and community members who worked to inform voters about the bond proposition. He also outlined the steps the district will take to plan and build new schools, and make other improvements under the 2012 bond.
