The HISD Teacher Recruitment and Selection Team will host a Campus Hiring Event on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Cesar Chavez High School (8501 Howard Drive, 77017).

On hand will be leaders from HISD schools looking to hire campus positions (teacher, assistant principal/dean of instruction, counselor, librarian, nurse, teacher assistant, associate [substitute] teacher) for the 2023-2024 school year.

Once registered, if eligible, candidates will receive final details in a separate e-mail for the event after 3 p.m. on Friday, May 19.

This event is open to all qualified candidates.

Current HISD employees: the open transfer period closed on Friday, May 12. Please be advised of the following:

• Active HISD teachers are NOT eligible to pursue teacher-to-teacher or teacher-to-central office roles but are ELIGIBLE to pursue counselor and AP/dean roles.
• Active Counselors are NOT eligible for counselor-to-counselor transfers.
