Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) announced the nominees for the 13th annual Tommy Tune Awards, and HISD’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) received six nominations for their production of “The Sound of Music.”

Here are the HSPVA nominees:
- Best Supporting Actress: Adriana Scamardi
- Best Lighting Design: Jessica Stevens
- Best Costume Design: Natalia Kian
- Best Scenic Design: Sarah Cominsky
- Best Orchestra: Brad Smith and Stephen Crawford
- Best Stage Crew and Technical Execution: Marisa Rinchiuso
A team of 30 Houston-based theater professionals nominated 164 participants in 15 award categories. An additional committee considered 76 potential scholarship recipients. TUTS will present eight scholarships to outstanding participating students at the awards ceremony.
