HISD Chief Information Officer Lenny Schad was recognized by the Council of Great City Schools on June 3 with the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt award. The award was created to honor excellent CIO’s.
Laurels are not a new look on Schad. He was previously honored for his work in education and technology by the Center for Digital Education. His main project has been the development of the district’s network security system. He oversees the classroom technology funds for all district schools. In 2013, he published his first book, Mobile Learning: It’s Not About the Device.
