HISD hosting teacher job fair for pool-approved candidates on Saturday, Dec. 5

HISD is hosting a teacher job fair on Saturday, Dec. 5, in order to fill current and future teaching vacancies.

Principals from across the district will attend the event to conduct interviews with teacher candidates and, in some cases, extend job offers. Teachers certified to teach bilingual, secondary math and science, and special education are strongly encouraged to apply and attend.

In order to attend, applicants must be a pool-approved candidate. Click here to apply. Once an applicant is pool-approved, they will receive an invitation from the Talent Acquisition team with the time and location of the job fair.

HISD is the largest school district in Texas and the seventh largest in the U.S. The Board of Education recently approved increasing the district’s starting teacher salary to $51,500, one of the highest starting in the region. In addition, certified bilingual teachers are eligible for up to a $4,000 stipend.

Visit www.teachhisd.org for more information about teaching in the district.

I am currently in the Apollo Tutoring Prigram, but I very much need a teaching position this year, and also next..I am certified in math, secondary, general science, secondary, and computer apps 6-12, I would prefer a computer position.

I would loved to be promoted within HISD. Currently, I am a Reading Interventionist with so much more to offer the district.

Currently I am a Reading Interventionist with HISD. I have so much more to offer the district. I am completing my final chapter of my dissertation and will soon become Dr. Vaughn. I would love to train teachers and principals within the district.
