Alesander Olaizola has been selected as the new principal of Edison Middle School. Olaizola has served as a teacher, campus educational technologist, instructional specialist, assistant principal, and for the last three years as principal of Tijerina Elementary School.

With over 15 years of educational experience, he is most proud of the Tijerina school rating moving from a C to an A with five academic distinctions. Olaizola earned his bachelor’s degree in Geography and History and a master’s degree in Business Educational Administration (MBEA) from the University of St. Thomas.
