Starting this month, HISD will be promoting the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Cluster Calendar to better highlight all the CTE-related programs that are being offered.

“The purpose of the calendar is to inspire campuses to showcase the excellent work their programs are doing to educate parents and students about the various programs offered,” said Career Readiness Senior Manager Melaney Herron. “We want to highlight the programs, students, teachers, administrators, and partnerships that help support the success of our CTE programs across the district.”

September will center around Information Technology, Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications. October will feature Architecture and Construction. October will also double as “College & Career Readiness Month.”  The calendar wraps up in May with Education and Training, Human Services, Hospitality, and Tourism.
