Marcus Williams has been selected as the new principal of Bob Lanier Middle School. Williams has over 12 years of experience leading students and teachers across HISD at the elementary and middle school levels.

Serving as assistant principal at Lanier since the 2018-2019 school year, Williams has extensive experience working in instructional leadership, student management, and parent and community engagement. He is committed to sustaining recent successes and achieving a climate that focuses on student development and success within a fair, safe, and inclusive environment. Williams has participated in HISD’s Principal Cohort Development Opportunity and the Northwest Area’s Aspiring Leader’s program. Williams earned his bachelor’s degree at Morehouse College, and his master’s degree from Prairie View A&M University.
