HISD’s Health & Medical Services Department is actively looking to hire licensed nurses for the 2023-2024 school year.

School nurses make a difference in the lives of students, their families, and communities by providing quality health and wellness support. Last school year, there were more than 575,000 HISD student visits to school nurse’s offices for health-related services.

Qualified applicants must have a current RN license, one year of experience as an RN, and a valid BLS certification.
