Jane Long Academy held a white coat ceremony Friday for its pharmacy students.
The ceremony was held to induct ninth-graders into the School of Pharmacy Technology, which is part of the HISD’s Futures Academy, and to celebrate the achievements tenth-graders have made over the past year.

The School of Pharmacy Technology teaches students the clinical and business skills they need to work alongside pharmacists and physicians. Students completing a four-year program receive certification as a pharmacy technician. Students also have the option of taking dual credits that transfer to most public colleges or universities.
