HISD’s Apollo 20 Fellowship program was the subject of a recent segment on KHOU’s “Great Day Houston” with Debra Duncan.
The Apollo 20 Fellowship is a one-year program where individuals from diverse backgrounds and professional experiences come into the classroom to work with students in math. A teacher’s certification is not required.
In the segment, Duncan spoke with veteran Apollo 20 Fellow Amber Underwood, who serves at Fondren Middle School; her student, Mashsid Mirsharifi; and Apollo 20 Fellowship recruiter Priscilla Thompson. Check out the full interview here.
The Apollo 20 Fellowship is currently accepting applications for the 2015–2016 school year. To learn how you can give a year and change a life, please visit: www.HoustonISD.org/Apollo20Fellows
