HISD’s Apollo 20 Fellowship program was the subject of a recent segment on KHOU’s “Great Day Houston” with Debra Duncan.

The Apollo 20 Fellowship is a one-year program where individuals from diverse backgrounds and professional experiences come into the classroom to work with students in math. A teacher’s certification is not required.

In the segment, Duncan spoke with veteran Apollo 20 Fellow Amber Underwood, who serves at Fondren Middle School; her student, Mashsid Mirsharifi; and Apollo 20 Fellowship recruiter Priscilla Thompson. Check out the full interview here.
