Team HISD, in collaboration with the HISD Foundation, is calling on the HISD community to participate in the 2024 Souper Bowl of Caring, a national, youth-led food drive to fight food insecurity.
Souper Bowl of Caring is going on now, and collections will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 9. Donations will help to stock HISD Souper Pantries, and campuses, staff, students, and organizations can participate by hosting individual food drive events or donating funds directly to the HISD Foundation.
To participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring:
- Register your school or organization to host a food drive by clicking here.
- Collect food items either physically or donate virtually, collect cash donations online, or all three.
- All collected food items can be brought to the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center (4400 W. 18th St.) from Wednesday, Feb. 7, through Friday, Feb. 9. Collection trucks will be located outside the building from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on those dates.
- Cash donations can be contributed or collected on the HISD Foundation’s donation page.
- Visit TackleHunger.org for ideas and resources to help your drive thrive!
Those who can’t donate can still participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring by sharing donation links, pictures, and stories on social media. Tag @HoustonISD and use #SouperBowlofCaring to spread the word.
