Houston ISD has filled all positions for summer school teachers in the North Forest community.

HISD began accepting applications for certified internal educators on July 1, and all positions were filled by July 2.

North Forest summer school sessions will begin on Mon., July 8, and will conclude on Thurs., Aug. 1, on four campuses: North Forest HS, Forest Brook MS, Shadydale ES, and Hilliard ES. Classes will be held from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Mon.–Thurs. All new summer school teachers will be required to attend one of several mandatory training sessions starting on Wed., July 3.

HISD is also offering a $5,000 incentive for some exempt employees to transfer to campuses in the North Forest community. For more information, read this related story.
