A group of five HISD employees were recognized as the first employees of the month for Service Excellence at Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center on Feb. 4 during a special breakfast.
The event, hosted by HISD’s Chief Operating Officer Leo Bobadilla, served as a way to thank employees who provide exceptional customer service across the district in a safe, courteous, responsive and efficient manner. Each month, one employee will be chosen from the areas of transportation, police, nutrition services, construction and facilities services, and business assistance to have “Breakfast with Leo.”
“This is a new event that Business Operations will have monthly to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that many of our employees show every day behind the scenes,” Bobadilla said. “I have really enjoyed meeting employees throughout each department and the breakfast turned out great.”
As everyone enjoyed their meal, each honoree shared how they work to ensure a positive experience for the customer and among their teams. The first group selected were previously featured in the Service Excellence video highlighting the Business Operations service philosophy:
“We improve lives and build trust by providing exceptional service that creates a safe and caring environment.”
“I’m looking forward to meeting more team members each month and discussing additional ways we, as a district, can enhance our commitment in providing excellent service,” Bobadilla said.
