The recently released list of Texas Honor Roll schools selected by the Educational Results Partnership includes 49 Houston Independent School District campuses.
The schools were selected by the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) for 2019-2020 based on students’ academic performance, closing achievement gaps among groups of students, utilizing evidence-based instructional practices, and having a defined system-wide mission of college and career readiness for all students.
“I congratulate each student, teacher, parent and principal at all of the schools that made the honor roll of best campuses in the state,” HISD Interim Superintendent Grenita Lathan said. “This type of recognition is gratifying and encouraging news for our campus leaders and educators who are singularly focused on equipping our scholars for present and future success.”
ERP works nationwide and selects high-performing schools for the Honor Roll in Texas and California. The organization is a data science body that recognizes schools with high performance in math and science. Sponsored by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence and in partnership with the Texas Business Leadership Council, the ERP Honor Roll is the only school recognition program in the state that uses student achievement outcome data.
