John Kimble has been selected as the new principal at Codwell Elementary School. Kimble most recently served as assistant principal at Lawson Middle School. He began his career in 2009 as a teacher assistant at Harper Alternative School.

In 2010, Kimble relocated to Dallas ISD as a special education teacher. He then returned to HISD as the assistant principal at Law Elementary. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance from Prairie A&M University and his Master of Educational Leadership from University of North Texas-Dallas.
