Students from HISD’s mentorship programs Ascending to Men (ATM) and Resilient Outstanding Sisters Exemplifying Success (ROSES) will be celebrated during a virtual Youth Summit RISE: Realizing I’m Someone Exceptional.

The event will take place via zoom on Friday, April 1.

The zoom session for elementary schools is from 9-10 a.m.

The zoom session for middle and high schools is from 2-3 p.m.

This year’s theme is The Journey to Self-Confidence, focusing on youth empowerment, leadership, and positive self-talk.

HISD’s mentorship programs, ATM and ROSES, aim to cultivate traits in several areas to equip students – especially from historically underserved communities with the knowledge, confidence, and necessary skills to embark on their post-secondary journey.
