Houston Independent School District is gearing up to name its “Fan Favorite” Teachers of the Year, and you can vote for your pick starting May 2 during Teacher Appreciation Week. Rally your school and community to support your campus Teacher of the Year and vote during May 2-6!

Winners will be determined in three categories: elementary school, middle school, and high school. They will be announced on Friday, May 13, at the Educator of the Year Celebration being held at the Hilton Americas-Houston (1600 Lamar St, Houston, TX 77010) at 6:30 p.m.

That event celebrates all campus Teachers of the Year and will announce the districtwide elementary and secondary Teachers of the Year. However, the Fan Favorite category was created so the HISD community could vote for their favorite teachers.

All campus-based Teachers of the Year are eligible. The winners are determined by who has the largest number of fans. Anyone can vote—including colleagues, parents, students, and former students.
