HISD hosting Campus Hiring Event Saturday, Dec. 9

The HISD Talent Acquisition Team will host a Campus Staff Hiring Event on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center (4400 West 18th Street, 77092).

On hand will be leaders from HISD Schools looking to hire campus positions (teacher, teacher assistant, assistant principal, counselor, campus clerk) for the 2023-2024 school year.

Once registered, candidates will receive final details in a separate e-mail for the event by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8.

Leading up to the Event: Important Reminders to all Candidates

Candidates must have a job application on file via HISD TRACS prior to engaging with school leaders. If candidates do not have a job application on file, they will be directed to the application station first, which will delay their entry into the event. To apply, visit www.HoustonISD.org/Careers and submit an application prior to arrival.

Current district employees in Chapter 21 contract positions (e.g., teacher, counselor, librarian, etc) are not eligible to attend this Campus Staff Hiring Event, as the Transfer Period is not in effect.

Candidates are encouraged to bring current copies of their resume, transcripts, and service records.

As part of the hiring process, candidates must schedule a fingerprinting appointment at an approved IdentoGO location. HISD can support with on-site fingerprinting once a candidate is registered through IdentoGO. Please note that the cost of fingerprinting is approximately $50—payment must be made via credit card.
