Enrolling in community college is simple, thanks to ABC-13

ABC-13 is hosting a one-day, community college registration drive from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 15, in partnership with the Texas Gulf Coast Community College Consortium. Experts from nine member colleges — Lee College, Wharton County Junior College, San Jacinto College, Houston Community College, College of the Mainland, Galveston College, Alvin Community College, Lone Star College, and Brazosport College — will be on hand in a live webchat to answer questions.

The “Your Future Starts Now” registration drive is aimed at graduating seniors, who may not yet have a plan for college. They will be able to register by visiting this website: http://abc13.com/education/your-future-starts-now/687622/.

To join the webchat, seniors simply go to Abc13.com between 4 and 7 p.m. on Friday, where experts will be on hand to answer questions about financing their education, transferring credits, public transit, and more.

The nine public community colleges of the Gulf Coast Consortium enroll more than 150,000 students in credit courses and 60,000 students in non-credit continuing education and workforce courses. Students can earn a multitude of two-year certifications that will lead to full time employment.
