Need some spring break family entertainment? There are many things to do with your child in Houston during the week of March 14–18 that are affordable, fun, and even great learning opportunities. Here are a few events we’ve found that might be of interest:
Xtreme Spring Break at The Children’s Museum of Houston
Get a little dizzy in “human hamster balls,” watch a ninja warrior-inspired show, or take part in a shaving cream pi(e) fight on “Pi Day,” March 14 (3.14). Many other activities will also take place during the week.
Mad Science Monday at Discovery Green
Ice-carving demonstrations from the DLG Ice Factory and a host of hands-on activities courtesy of Girls Inc. Houston and Mad Science of Houston await young hands and minds on March 14.
The ice-carving demonstration starts at noon.
Theatrical Thursday at Discovery Green
Storytellers, art instruction, an introduction to opera, and a ride in the Mad Science hovercraft are among the activities children ages preschool and beyond can enjoy on Thursday, March 17.
Young Writers Workshop
