Chastity Caesar is a lifelong Houstonian who grew up in the same neighborhood as McReynolds Middle School, where she is the devoted principal. This week’s HISD Star Educator is committed to instilling a foundational love of learning in her students that they will carry with them throughout their lives.
Named principal of McReynolds in 2023 as the campus adopted HISD’s New Education System (NES), Caesar tackled the challenges of acclimating her staff and students to the new model. As students and staff began to see tangible results in student outcomes, it was clear to Caesar that McReynolds was where she could have the greatest impact, and where she was meant to be.
Caesar attended Sam Houston State University and earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, then went on to the University of Phoenix where she graduated with a master’s degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration with a focus on Curriculum Instruction. She honed her teaching experience and served as an assistant principal at two campuses in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD before moving on to HISD and McReynolds.
