Sometimes you just need to dance to a Taylor Swift song. Special Education students and staff at Halpin Early Childhood Center acted on such an urge last week. During their Special Education Awards Day on May 22, they debuted a video of the whole community dancing to Swift’s single “Shake It Off.”

Special Education Chairperson Anna Palalon created the video in order to portray the spirit and love that exists between students, general education teachers, the administration, and other staff members. Palalon was very pleased with the past school year and wanted to celebrate its success.

“Our students may go through many challenges in life, but the camaraderie among the teachers and staff have been a great blessing to the students,” Palalon said.
