If you or someone you know is interested in starting a challenging and rewarding career as a teacher at HISD, the district is now accepting applications for its Effective Teacher Fellowship (ETF).

ETF is searching for qualified, passionate and effective educators for the 2017-2018 school year who will help HISD students reach their potential. 

ETF is HISD’s alternative certification program, which provides instructional coaching and support. Once accepted into the program, the ETF team helps teachers secure jobs in HISD and commits to provide ongoing support throughout their first year.

In addition to a comprehensive training program, ETF teachers earn a teaching salary as they work to earn their Texas teaching certificate.

ETF certifies teachers pursuing core area certificates, and there is an urgent need for bilingual, science, mathematics, and secondary English teachers.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

• Have a conferred four-year degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum 2.75 GPA
• Provide proof they can legally work in the U.S.
