HISD is partnering with various organizations across the city, including the Houston Health Department, to offer COVID-19 vaccine opportunities in school communities. COVID-19 vaccinations for 5 years old and up will be available in several HISD schools beginning Friday, Nov. 12.

Please visit the HISD Health Alerts webpage for details on locations, including time and date, address, and contact information. We encourage families to contact the vaccination site they plan on going to, as each site may have different requirements. Some sites do have a pre-registration link.

Most providers are requiring the following:

• The parent or guardian must be present with the minor child (5-17 years of age) getting vaccinated, as he or she will need to present an ID for identification purposes only.
• Anyone who has already been vaccinated for COVID-19 should bring their vaccination card.
• It is recommended that students have their student ID with them at the time of vaccination
