HISD will host its first-ever Military Career Day for high school juniors on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Delmar Fieldhouse (2020 Mangum Road, 77092).

The inaugural event will serve to guide students who are interested in military services. Students and parents will learn about the educational benefits, financial incentives, and diverse career options for both officers and enlisted personnel, including a wide range of roles, technologies, and experiences offered within the Armed Forces.

Students and families who attend will be able to ask questions and learn how to get started, if they wish to pursue a military career.

Military Career Day will allow students and parents to see the wide career options available in the Armed Forces. The Armed Forces offer careers in every field including engineering, medicine, accounting, computer programming, and more.
