Wish for Wheels spreads holiday cheer with 600 new bikes for HISD students
Christmas arrived a bit early for students at Martinez Elementary School after they received new bikes from HISD community partners Wish for Wheels and Oxy.

Central, administrative offices to reopen on Jan. 4
The Houston Independent School District’s 2015 Winter Holiday schedule is as follows:
Students do not attend school from Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, through Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. Students will return to school on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016.
HISD central and administrative offices will be closed beginning Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.

The HISD Police Department will be patrolling district facilities during the holiday break. Emergencies should be reported by calling 713-892-7777.
