In a sprawling city like Houston, it is important for busy parents to be able to consolidate the many necessary steps to enrolling their children in school. In hopes of making a once headache-inducing chore into something fun and easy, HISD’s Office of Student Enrollment partnered with the St. Austin Center to host Día de los Niños, an enrollment event, carnival, and one-stop shop for community resources all rolled into one.

The Houston Independent School District has partnered with the Houston Dynamo to provide students with virtual soccer lessons during summer school.
Beginning Monday, June 8 through the Clever Portal, Kindergarten through 6th-grade students can access Diesel’s Skill Builders, presented by Tom Byer’s Soccer Starts at Home. The program will offer daily video lessons featuring Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash players and coaches demonstrating various soccer skills.

The Sharpstown High School soccer teams received some help in preparing for the upcoming season from none other than the Houston Dynamo.
Dynamo Charities named the soccer program at Sharpstown High School a beneficiary for Every Save Counts, a Major League Soccer (MLS) national initiative to serve youth sports.
