In order to permanently improve every D- and F-rated campus, HISD is transforming how it serves those students by launching the RISE transformation cohort beginning in School Year 2022-2023.

The Houston Independent School District and Prairie View A&M University partnered Wednesday to announce a new registered nursing pathway for the students of Jones Futures Academy.

The partnership will allow students in the existing Allied Health program at Jones to take college level anatomy and physiology and medical terminology courses that directly align with Prairie View A&M’s nursing degree plan. Continue reading

Yates High School of Communications students traveled to Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) to participate in Prairie View A&M Mass Communications Week on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015.

Former BET (Black Entertainment Television) anchor and reporter Ed Gordon hosted a session just for Yates students during which he discussed the media industry and what they need to do to stay competitive. Students also toured the PVAMU television station.
