The Office of Special Education Services invites parents of students with Autism to a virtual meeting March 31, 2022, from 9:30–11 a.m.
The meeting is being held to celebrate the start of Autism Acceptance Month and World Autism Awareness Day by exploring all about sensory integration and how it can assist students on the Autism spectrum.

The event will take place Friday, March 11, from 11:40 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis Houston.
More than 600 families made the step to set their 3- and 4-year-olds up for success on Saturday by applying for prekindergarten in HISD. All elementary and early childhood campuses across the district opened their doors to provide in-person, one-on-one support to families through the application process. Support was also available over the phone and virtually.

In the quiet, more than forty pairs of little teeth tentatively picked into sliced beet sticks with audible crunches. Thanks to the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP), Shadydale students are veritable pros at trying new things.
