HISD to become one of the most competitive districts in the region under Superintendent House’s new compensation plan
Raising teacher and staff salaries in HISD is a top commitment within the district’s five-year strategic plan. In order to meet that commitment, Superintendent Millard House II announced an update to the compensation plan that will make all HISD salaries among the most competitive in the region.
During a news conference on Thursday, May 26, House revealed current teachers on average will receive an 11% raise this summer.
