Superintendent House and Mayor Turner read to HISD students as part of Houston-area literacy initiative

For the second annual Houston Reads Day, 400 volunteers read to pre-K and elementary students at Houston-area schools on Wednesday.

One of those volunteers was Houston Independent School District Superintendent Millard House II who joined a second-grade class at Bruce Elementary in Houston’s fifth ward.

Parents invited to virtual Autism Services Meeting on March 31

The Office of Special Education Services invites parents of students with Autism to a virtual meeting March 31, 2022, from 9:30–11 a.m.

The meeting is being held to celebrate the start of Autism Acceptance Month and World Autism Awareness Day by exploring all about sensory integration and how it can assist students on the Autism spectrum.
