Graduation ceremony schedule, venue information available for Class of 2023

Houston Independent School District will hold graduation ceremonies May 25 through June 4 for the Class of 2023. HISD seniors will walk across the stage at various venues including Barnett, and Delmar Fieldhouses, NRG Arena, and NRG Stadium. Times and locations vary for each school. Milby HS senior chosen as 2023 Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship winner

A Milby High School senior has been selected as a recipient for the 2023 Cooke College Scholarship presented by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. Francisco Chavez was chosen out of a pool of more than 5,600 applicants from across the nation. He will receive up to $55,000 a year for four years to attend college.

SpEd Spring Parent Summit returns to in person April 29

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, HISD’s Office of Special Education Services will hold its semi-annual summit for HISD families in person. The Special Education Spring Parent Summit is set for Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center (4400 West 18th Street, 77092).
